At three o’clock in the afternoon I implore My Mercy especially for sinners and even for a brief moment immerse yourself in My Passion, especially in My abandonment at the time of death.
It is an hour of great Mercy for the whole world. I will allow you to penetrate into My mortal sadness. In that hour I will not refuse anything to the soul that begs Me for My Passion … (from the Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska, page 703)
“My daughter, every time you hear the clock beating the three, remember to immerse yourself in My mercy, adoring and exalting it; he invokes his omnipotence for the whole world and especially for the poor sinners, for it was at that hour that he was thrown open for every soul.
In that hour you will get everything for yourself and for others; in that hour grace was given to the whole world, Mercy won justice. My daughter, at that time try to do the Via Crucis, if your commitments allow it and if you can not do the Via Crucis, enter at least for a moment in the chapel and honor My Heart that in the Blessed Sacrament is full of Mercy.
And if you can not go to the chapel, gather in prayer at least for a brief moment where you are. I want the cult of My Mercy from every creature, but first of all from you, because I have made you know this mystery in the most profound way. “(From the Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska, page 820)
† CORONCINE TO DIVINE MERCY †
(It is recited with a normal Corona of the Holy Rosary)
In the Name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Our Father, who are in Heaven be sanctified Your Name, may Your Kingdom be made Your will, as in Heaven so on earth.Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with You, You are blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death . Amen.
I believe in God, the omnipotent Father, creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, (we bow), who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; descended to the underworld; on the third day he rose again from death; He ascended to Heaven, sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty: from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the remission of sins, the resurrection of the flesh, eternal life. Amen.
Then on the grains of the Our Father the following words are recited:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and the Blood, the Soul and the Divinity of Your Most Beloved Son and our Lord Jesus Christ, in expiation of our sins and of those of the whole world.
Then on the grains of the Ave Maria the following words are recited:
For His painful Passion, have Mercy of us and of the whole world.
Finally it is repeated three times:
Holy God, Holy Fort, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Then: “O Blood and Water that springs from the Heart of Jesus, as Source of Mercy for us, I trust in You”.
Jesus says: “When you recite this prayer (that is:” O Blood and Water that springs from the Heart of Jesus, as Source of Mercy for us, I trust in You “) with a repentant heart and with faith for some sinner, I will grant him the grace of the conversion … “
3.00 pm (hour of Jesus’ death on the Cross) is a favorite hour … Jesus told Santa Faustina that if at that hour the Chaplet can not be recited and it is good to gather in prayer for a brief moment where we are … maybe with this short prayer:
PRAYER OF THE THREE POMERIDIANS, (NOW OF MERCY):
O Jesus, you have just died
and already a source of life
it has flowed for the souls.
O source of life,
incomprehensible mercy of God,
wrap the whole world
and poured over us.
O Blood and Water,
that springs from the heart of Jesus
as a source of mercy for us,
I confide in you!
… then the Chaplet is recited as soon as possible.
Since you’re here …
… we have a small favor to ask. God is everywhere—even in the news. That’s why we view every news story through the lens of faith. More people are reading Mystic Post than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Mystic Post’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
