The Sacred Heart beats just for you. The 12 promises of Jesus that you must know

“The essential elements of devotion to the Heart of Christ permanently belong to the spirituality of the Church throughout its history. Because from the beginning, the Church raised her gaze to the Heart of Christ pierced on the cross … On the ruins accumulated by hatred and violence, the civilization of the much desired love, the Kingdom of the Heart of Christ, can be built “.

[John Paul II, Message to the Jesuits, October 5, 1986

The first impulses to the devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus come from the German mysticism of the late Middle Ages, represented in particular by Matilde of Magdeburg and St. Gertrude of Hefta (second half of the 13th century).

However, the devotion to the Sacred Heart in the modern sense begins with Saint Francis de Sales (1567-1622). The masterpiece of the Saint of Savoy is
“The treaty of the love of God – Theotimus”, in which the history of the world appears as a “love story” to be discovered in the heart of Jesus:

“I will establish my dwelling in the furnace of love, in the heart pierced for me. At this burning hearth I will feel the flame of love so far so languishing reanimate in my entrails. Ah! Lord, your heart is the true Jerusalem; let me choose it forever as a place of my rest … “.

Chaplet to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

1. O my Jesus, who said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will obtain, seek and find, beat and be opened!”, Here I am knocking, I seek, I ask for grace …
· Acting: a Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory
· Finally: Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust and I hope in you.

2. O my Jesus, who said: “Truly I tell you, whatever you ask of my Father in my name, He will grant it to you!”, Behold, to your Father, in your name, I ask for grace …
· Acting: a Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory
· Finally: Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust and I hope in you.

3. O my Jesus, who said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away, but my words never!”, Behold, leaning on the infallibility of your holy words, I ask for grace …
· Acting: a Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory
· Finally: Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust and I hope in you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the unhappy, have mercy on us miserable sinners, and grant us the graces we ask of you through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your and our tender Mother.
· St. Joseph, the putative father of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for us.

5. I will spread abundant blessings on all their businesses.

6. Sinners will find in my Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.

7. Tepid souls will become fervent.

8. The fervent souls will rise to great perfection.

9. I will bless the houses where the image of my Sacred Heart will be exposed and honored.

10. I will give priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

11. The people who will propagate this devotion will have their name written in my Heart, where it will never be canceled.

12. I promise in the excess of the mercy of my Heart that my omnipotent love will grant to all those who will communicate on the first Friday of the month for nine consecutive months the grace of the final penance. They will not die in my misfortune, nor without receiving the Sacraments, and my Heart will be their safe refuge in that extreme hour.
