Amen, amen. Here in Brazil, the Jesuits in the XVI and XVII centuries did just fine without being married. They evangelized thousands upon thousands of indians, many of whom were cannibals and were in a worse state than the current Amazon indians. See São José de Anchieta and Manoel da Nóbrega among many others.
