Moscow (CNN)Russian President Vladimir Putin said this week his country managed to stop the mass spread of coronavirus — and that the situation was “under control,” thanks to early and aggressive measures to keep more people from getting the disease.
Russia has long been closely connected to Marian /Catholic prophecy ever since Russia was prominently mentioned by the Virgin Mary at Fatima.
Russia also has a dramatic yet little-known connection to the Virgin Mary at Medjugorje. The Queen of Peace revealed an astonishing prediction about Russia to the six young visionaries in October of 1981. Keep in mind, in 1981, the Soviet Union was still very much an atheist state – at war with Christianity.
The Pope was a real threat to the totalitarian regime. So much so that the Soviet Union planned to kill Pope John Paul II.
The assassination attempt occurred on May 13, 1981, an anniversary date of the first appearance of the Virgin Mary at Fatima. One month after the attempt on the Pope’s life, the Virgin Mary began to appear at Medjugorje.
Then six months after that, the Virgin Mary spoke about the future of Russia. In a brief message to the visionaries, She said: “Russia will come to glorify God the most, the West has made civilization progress, but without God and acts as if they are their own creator”.
This reference to Russia has been a mysterious part of the Medjugorje events for decades.
Mystic Post has long called these words from the Virgin Mary Medjugorje’s “Great Prophecy”. It is important to note that the visionaries have often said Medjugorje is the fulfillment of Fatima.
On August 25, 1991, the Queen of Peace, said: “Dear Children! Today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before when my plan has begun to be realized. Satan is strong and wants to sweep away my plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in His decisions. Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to now grasp the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation. I want to save all souls and present them to God. Therefore, let us pray that everything I have begun be fully realized. Thank you for having responded to my call.”” The visionaries have said that Medjugorje is the “continuation and fulfillment of Fatima.”
Are we seeing this prophecy unfold – The world-wide coronavirus epedemic has, not only, put a spot-light on the Marian Russia prophecy but also draws attention to the recent move by the Russian Goverment to make Russia a “Nation under God”.
In late February the Russian constitution was amended to insert “God” into the body of the document. This action brought renewed attention to the little-known Medjugorje prophecy.
God, People and Family: Putin and Kirill’s new Russian Constitution
“The three main formulas to be included in the new fundamental law concern the reference to faith in God “transmitted by our ancestors”, the reference to the Russian people as “constitutive of the state” and marriage as “union of man and woman”. These ideas were proposed by several members of the commissions and inspired by the Orthodox Church. Putinvaccepted them and decided for their inclusion.
It had been proposed to condense these ideals into a Preamble that would act as a “moral orientation” for the entire constitution, but it was preferred to leave the possibility of a less formal drafting within the chapters. The precedent, which is rather controversial, is the famous preamble of the law on religious freedom of 1997, which states that “the main religion of Russia is Orthodoxy”, which is flanked by the four traditional religions: “Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Christianity ”, creating an obvious contradiction about the nature of the Orthodox religion.
