It is written in the bible in Timothy Chapter 3 – Verse  1 through 4 (Book 2)   

“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,  treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

 

Father Jozo is well known for urging Catholics to follow the 5 stones of Medjugorje and perhaps the one we forget the most is to read sacred scripture:  

Father Jozo said: “Usually Our Lady comes to the visionaries happy and joyful. On one occasion, while talking about the Bible, She was crying. Our Lady said: “You have forgotten the Bible.”

On October 18, 1984  Our Lady said to the visionaries: “Dear children! Today I call on you to read the Bible every day, and let it be in a visible place in your home so as always to encourage you to read it.  Live it, and pray to understand the signs of the times.”

 

Our Lady says by reading sacred scripture we will be able understand the sign of the times. And so we can easily see from today’s Bible verse that a sign of  the last days will be when people begin to change by abandoning God’s commandments to follow false doctrines. 

 

Father  Ivan Dugandizic from Medjugorje describes how people are dramatically changing and warns us that  the master of this change can be found in  the spirit of the antichrist. 

He says: We are the witnesses of this drama of mankind. The Antichrist, with the help of his many alliances, truly wishes to create man in his own image. That is why he wishes to wipe off the image of God in man; to destroy that gene that man has when he as a creature comes from the Creator. He wishes to define human nature anew. And he is declaring that what was once evil, now is something which is completely normal and acceptable. And all those who feel differently, they are forbidden.”

 

To resist the devil’s efforts  to change us for his gain, we can look to Our Lady’s instructions on how we can change for the good.

 

On May 25, 2020 Our Lady  said:

“Dear children! Pray with me for a new life for all of you. In your hearts , little children, you know what needs to be changed. Return to God and His Commandments,  so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the spirit. Little children, be prayer for all those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of this peaceless time.

 

Then on August 25, 2020 Our Lady spoke again of how people need to change for the good: “Dear children! you do not have a future or peace until your life begins with a personal conversion and a change to the good. Evil will cease and peace will begin to reign in your hearts and in the world. Therefore, little children, pray, pray, pray. I am with you and intercede before my Son Jesus for each of you. Thank you for having responded to my call. ”
