Divine Mercy is the answer

Once I heard a story that really touched my heart. I forgot who told it to me yet its message kept me reflecting on the incredible extent of God’s mercy for everyone who let it sink in his and her heart.

For some reason or another he was stopped from his ministry. It was decided that he should be laicized. Due to this decision it was evident that he was in so much distress. What would he do now? What kind of counsel should be given to him? What to say to him?

But the Good Lord led a priest who loved the Divine Mercy so much, to look into the Diary of St Faustina to find an answer. There that priest could make a contact with the Merciful Jesus himself who is able to take on him any contradictory situations and effects his saving mercy to all those who are open to it.

As this priest was talking to this brother of ours, it came into his heart the passage where Jesus speaks about those who share his Divine Mercy with others. Jesus says in paragraph 1075: Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior. At that last hour, a soul has nothing with which to defend itself except My mercy. Happy is the soul that during its lifetime immersed itself in the Fountain of Mercy, because justice will have no hold on it.

As this priest shared with him this paragraph this man started to cry. Even for him there is hope, becoming an apostle of God’s mercy for others is indeed a great thing most cherished by Jesus. Nothing is lost when one is merciful with others on Jesus’ example. After all mercy saves everyone who is open to it.

I keep praying for this hidden apostle of God’s mercy that he undertakes this mission the merciful Jesus has called him for, namely to spread the Divine Mercy, particularly the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, with others to pray it and be saved.

Divine Mercy is the answer for all those who entrust themselves to it.
