Medjugorje Today : “My children be ready. This time is a crossroads of life.”
Our Lady in her message of June 2, 2017 addresses to each of us words that are a concentrate of meanings.
This time, which has lasted since June 24, 1981, is characterized by an event that is unique in the history of humanity, the presence of Our Lady among us, in Medjugorje.
Medjugorje message of June 2, 2017 to the visionary Mirjana
“Dear children, as in the other places where I have come, so also here I call you to prayer. Pray for those who do not know my Son, for those who have not known the love of God, against sin, for the consecrated, for those whom my Son has called so that they may have love and a spirit of strength, for you and for the Church. .Pray to my Son, and the love you feel for His closeness will give you strength and prepare you for the good works you will do in His name. My children be ready. This time is a crossroads of life. For this I call you again to faith and hope, I show you the way to take. These are the words of the Gospel. My apostles, the world so needs your hands raised towards heaven, towards my Son and towards the Heavenly Father. Much humility and purity of heart are needed. Trust in my Son and know that you can always improve. My maternal heart desires that you, apostles of my love, always be little lights of the world. Illuminate where darkness wishes to reign and with your prayer and love, show the right path. Save souls. I am with you. Thank you”
Reflection
Our Lady’s words, as she herself says, are the same as those of her Son. She did not come to tell us something more than what Jesus has already revealed to us, but she came to remind us. The time that is given to us by God is an opportunity to choose which side we want to go to: towards Him who is eternal life and therefore endless happiness, or towards evil, which is exactly the opposite. That “be ready” reminds us that we do not know the time or the day when our life will be asked of us, but we can pray and ask God for the grace of an authentic journey, so as not to be caught unprepared.
