St. Michael’s Prophecy of Chastisement and Protection
In the 6th century BC, the prophet Daniel was sitting near the bank of the great river Tigris, in Mesopotamia, now Turkey. He saw an apparition of an angel, probably the Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel said to him, “Do you know why I have come to you? It is to tell you what is written in the Book of Truth.” (See Daniel 10:20).
Gabriel said, “At that time there shall arise Michael, the Great Prince, Guardian of Your People. That will be a time of great distress, unparalleled since nations first came into existence. When that time comes, your own people will be spared – all those whose names are found written in the Book.” (Daniel 12:1).
That prophecy might apply to this time, in the present end-times, but not the end of the world time, of great distress, unparalleled since nations first came into existence, when Michael might arise as the Great Prince and Protector of us!
Perhaps, that is why, over 2000 years after that prophecy, St. Michael the Archangel requested that a medal be struck for these end-times with an image of him. It was revealed that around the medal’s border should appear the words of that prophecy, “At that time there shall arise Michael, the Great Prince, Guardian of Your People” (Daniel 12:1) (Journal 88) and beneath his feet, the words, “Protect Us!” (Journal 107).
In 1977, the year before his death, Pope St. Paul VI said, “I sometimes read the gospel passage of the end times and I attest that, at this time, some signs of this are emerging.” (The Secret Paul VI, Jean Guitton, pages 152-153, reference (7), p. ix.
On November 15, 1990, Our Lady warned Fr. Gobbi, of the Marian Movement of Priests, while he was in the United States, “Abortions—these killings of innocent children, that cry for vengeance before the face of God—have spread and are performed in every part of your homeland. The moment of divine justice and of great mercy has now arrived! You will know the hour of weakness and poverty, the hour of suffering and defeat, the purifying hour of the Great Chastisements.” (To the Priests 437).
St. Michael the Archangel and Jesus King of All Nations
St. Michael the Archangel appeared several times to Jesus’ Secretary, the mystic of the Jesus King of All Nations Devotion. St. Michael said that it was “the Most Holy Will of God that a medal be made in particular honor of me as the Protector of the Church of Christ on earth” (Journal 79) and “as a reminder that the Most High has appointed me a particular Guardian of His Church and of the Most Blessed Sacrament.” (Journal 85).
The image of St. Michael is on the reverse (back) side of the medal. He was sent by Jesus to His Secretary several times to show her how he wished to appear with our Eucharistic Jesus, also on the reverse side of the medal. St. Michael appeared in flight enveloped in glory. In his left hand he held a pair of scales over the world that represents justice. St. Michael is believed to carry the souls of all the deceased to where they are judged and symbolically weighed in his perfectly balanced scales. In his right hand he held a fiery sword of justice raised above the world. The scales and the sword represent warnings of judgment and chastisements that loom over the world.
To the right of St. Michael, above his head, appeared the Sacred Host with the letters “IHS” with a small cross above them. “IHS” is the monogram derived from the Greek word for Jesus. Drops of the Most Precious Blood dripped from the Sacred Host into a chalice below symbolizing His constant stream of mercy. (Journal 106-107).
In the third millennium, we are experiencing cataclysmic events. The state of the world is worse than it was at the time of the Great Flood. There are great evils that the world has never experienced to this extent before, such as the dissolution of the family through no-fault divorce; same-sex sexual acts; same-sex false marriages; false transgenderism; contraception; abortion; embryonic experimentation; so-called “physician-assisted suicide”; euthanasia; sex trade; drug trade; addictions; mass killings; terrorism; ecological destruction; and business, political and Church corruption.
At Akita, Japan, on October 13, 1973, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa and said, with later Church approval, “If men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge [the Great Flood] such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops, and the priests.” (Dan Lynch, Medjugorje’s Ten Secrets: How to Prepare, John Paul Press, 2020, p.78).
St. Michael promised “to obtain for those faithful Catholic souls who faithfully wear this medal honoring the Most High God as Jesus King of All Nations, the reverse of which bears my image, the beautiful grace of an angelic escort to the table of the Lord Jesus Christ. I myself, will accompany these souls who approach Our Lord in Holy Communion, with reverence, faith and LOVE. I will bear the souls upon my hands. I will watch over them with a most special vigilance. I will be their special protector in their journey towards eternity. Let the faithful approach Our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament with love, devotion and reverence.” (Journal 175).
We are living in the end times, but not at the end of the world. It is a time when God will once again enter into history through signs, miracles, warnings and chastisements. These will make the reality of God and his truth self-evident for all souls and give all of humanity an opportunity to choose between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Satan.
This will happen through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart. The sinful world will be purified. The Church itself will be purified and renewed. Those who repent, convert and survive the chastisements will live in the Era of Peace, with the Great Renewal of the holy Church, of mankind, and of all creation. They will be filled with God’s grace and love for Him and one another. “When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever.” (Proverbs 10:25).
Jesus King of All Nations said,How greatly I love my people! It is for your good, O mankind, that I allow my justice to be poured out in order to awaken your conscience and correct your sinful behavior. Yet you see how dearly I love you in that I continually warn you and even seek to comfort you in the pain of the cleansing which is almost upon you. (Journal 414).
Awake! Lift up your heads my people! Do you not see the signs all around you?! A great catastrophe is about to befall you! (Journal 664). Great is the chastisement that is ready to descend upon this sinful world to correct the consciences of individuals and the conscience of mankind as a whole! (Journal 366).
Hear me at last or the state of the world will continue to decline yet further until one day the Great Chastisement will fall upon you and you shall cry, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ (Journal 734).
“Wake up My people! Come to the foot of My throne to receive mercy, peace and forgiveness. Come to receive protection from what is soon to come upon the world.”
‘Because you have kept my message of endurance, I will keep you safe in the time of trial that is going to come to the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming quickly. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one may take your crown.’” (Revelation 26 3:10-11). (Journal 852).
“My children, dear children, do not despair. There is always hope.” (Journal 319). “I have told you of the remedy. That of the public practice of my Devotion and veneration of my Image.” (Journal 671).
The Medal of Jesus King of All Nations and Saint Michael
Jesus also gave us the great gift of His medal for our protection. Jesus said, “My daughter, it is My Most Holy Will and desire that there be a medal struck according to the likeness of me you have seen. I promise to offer the precious grace of final perseverance to every soul who will faithfully embrace this Devotion.” (Journal 75).
Jesus showed His Secretary the medal. On the front was the image of Jesus King of All Nations. He desired that the prayer on the front read, “O Jesus, King of All Nations, May Your Reign Be Recognized on Earth.” (Journal 192).

They are aimed at the universal restoration of Christ as King of All Nations, and more proximately, to prepare the way for His welcome at His Coming. Jesus King of All Nations also said, “In these times, only one thing will be given as a remedy. I myself AM that remedy!” (Journal 159). “I have told you of the remedy, that of the public practice of my Devotion and veneration of my Image.” (Journal 671).
