THE THREE LETTERS THAT ARE WORTH MORE THAN MANY BOOKS

The bishop asked an ordinary believer if he reads books with religious content.

The believer said “No, I don’t read… because… I don’t know the letters. I never learned how to read and write.”

Then the man said:  “But I have THREE LETTERS in my head: one black, one red, and one white.

The bishop then asked: “What does the black, red and white letters mean?

The man replied: “The Black letter reminds me of sin and hell, so I stay away from it.

The Red letter makes me think of the blood Jesus shed for all of us, so I trust in His mercy.

And finally the White letter reminds me of heaven, of paradise, of the reward that God will give us if we remain faithful to him.

The bishop said: – Blessed are you! Your three letters are worth more than so many books I have read.
