The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

June 11th is the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. St. Margaret Mary said that the Sacred Heart of Jesus appeared to her. She wrote, “He showed me that it was His great desire of being loved by men and of withdrawing them from the path of ruin into which Satan hurls such crowds of them, that made Him form the design of manifesting His Heart to men, with all the treasures of love, of mercy, of grace, of sanctification and salvation which it contains, in order that those who desire to render Him and procure for Him all the honor and love possible, might themselves be abundantly enriched with those divine treasures of which this Heart is the source.”

When Jesus’ Secretary was working on her Journal of the Jesus King of All Nations Devotion, St. Margaret Mary came to her carrying in her hand a very large Heart, alive, with flames issuing from the top. St. Margaret Mary said, “I bring you the Master’s Heart; go and set the world on fire with it.” Our cold world needs to be set on fire with the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus that is shown in His Image of Jesus King of All Nations.

Jesus said:

This devotion to me as ‘Jesus King of All Nations’ is to be a companion devotion to that of my mercy as given to my beloved daughter, Faustina, and to that of my  Sacred Heart as given to my  beloved daughter, Margaret Mary. (Journal 165). You do not yet fully perceive the great importance of this devotion of mine. It is to be no less significant than that to my most Sacred Heart or that to my Divine Mercy. Indeed it is the culmination of these two as they are both found within the one crowned by the sacred truth of my supreme and Sovereign Kingship. (Journal 550). Let my devotion of Jesus King of All Nations receive the approbation of my holy Church that my children may be fed and renewed by the sacred truths contained within it.

When one venerates this Image, my Sacred Heart and my Divine Mercy are also venerated. (Journal 554). This devotion is the crowning glory of all devotions to me. Let this be known… This revelation today regarding this truth is a keystone holding the others together. (Journal 556). This devotion of Jesus King of All Nations is truly a most wondrous gift from my most Sacred Heart to my holy Church and to the entire world. (Journal 594). My great Mercy has compelled me to once more intervene in the history of mankind in these gravely-sinful and truly perilous times. (Journal 596).

This devotion is the culmination of the three in one great devotions to Jesus of His love (the Sacred Heart devotion); His mercy (the Divine Mercy devotion); and His justice and His protection from it (the Jesus King of All Nations Devotion).

In the Image of Jesus King of All Nations we see Him crowned as King with His arms spread wide and His wounded Sacred Heart exposed pouring His merciful blood and water onto our cold, violent and heart-sick world. He pleads for us to recognize His reign.

Jesus King revealed the prayer, “O Jesus King of All Nations, may your reign be recognized on earth!” We can help His reign to be recognized on earth by giving Him the love of our child-like hearts. In the world today, hearts have been desensitized and have grown cold. When we consecrate ourselves to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we allow Him to form our hearts like Him who is meek and humble of heart.

One way to recognize the reign of Jesus King of All Nations in our hearts is to enthrone His Image in a ceremony. Jesus said, “Let my holy Image be enthroned everywhere! Within shrines, churches, homes, religious communities, hospitals, offices and indeed within the very heart of man! This Image represents the totality of my Divine offices; Victim-High Priest, True Prophet and Sovereign King and as such calls down the blessing of my Almighty Father.” (Journal 561). This will help to bring the recognition and approval of His Devotion that He desires from His hierarchy, the bishops. It will also help us to realize the promise of Jesus for “peace in our hearts and in our homes”.
