THE VIRGIN MARY WEEPS IN UKRAINE “ONLY IN THIS WAY WILL WE BE ABLE TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM WARS AND DESTRUCTION.”
Maria cries in Ukraine
In a small Ukrainian church near the border with Poland, the Mother of God urges conversion, the Rosary and fasting
“No words came out of her lips, only tears from her eyes. Maybe she thought that what she had to say to her children she had already said, and now she could only cry.”
In October 1917, tens of thousands of people witnessed the sun miracle in Fatima. This Niżankowice miracle of the weeping Madonna was repeated at least three times.
In this miraculous statue, the Mother of God remains steadfast in a small Ukrainian church near the border with Poland, exhorting conversion, the Rosary and fasting, and remembers that only in this way will we be able to save the world from wars and destruction “.
The statue is known as Our Lady of Niżankowic and is a statue like many others. It would be difficult to say how many copies have been made.
On the back of the one in the Niżankowice church you can read the inscription ‘Częstochowa’ along with a number, probably from the series it comes from. The statue stood near the sidewall of the church for a long time on a metal platform.
On January 5, 2005, Our Lady of Niżankowice wept for the first time. The first to notice was a 17-year-old woman. Then the Virgin Mary cried for 40 days, from January 5th to February 13th.
Her tears flowed for three days and three nights upon the death of Sister Lucia, the seer of Fatima, and also when Pope John Paul II left for the Father’s house and on the anniversary of his death.
After some time, the statue cried for 18 months on the 13th of each month, the day of the apparitions of Fatima. Father Jacek Waligóra, current custodian of the sanctuary, also referred this number to the apparitions of Lourdes, where Mary appeared 18 times. The last time Our Lady of Niżankowice wept was on 9 September 2007. “It is clearMary weeps in Niżankowice at important moments in the life of the Church”.
