Did Our Lady and Medjugorje Save the World from Atomic War in 1985? The Prophecy, Consecration, Triumph and Secret of Fatima explained by Sister Lucia

Pope John Paul II “Look, Medjugorje is a continuation, an extension of Fatima. Our Lady is appearing in communist countries primarily because of problems that originate in Russia”

In this video Sr. Lucia recounts the time the Blessed Mother told the visionary that the consecration of Russia averted nuclear war

(Mystic Post is in working on a film project investigating the prophecies and powerful connections between Medjugorje and Fatima)

Did Pope John Paul II’s interest in the events in Medjugorje motivate him to consecrate Russia to Our Lady’s Immaculate heart?  Was he guided by The Blessed Mother?  According to Sr. Lucia the 1984 consecration averted a nuclear war between Russia and the United States.

Here is a timeline of events :

  1. March 30, 1981 Attempted assassination on President Ronald Reagan

  2. May 13, 1981 Soviet Union attempts assassination of Polish Pope John Paul II in St. Peters Square

  3. While recovering from the bullet wounds the pope makes a strange request. Perhaps not so strange to the Pope, the day he was shot was also the anniversary of a day that would become one of the most important in the 20th century—the beginning of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. He aptly requests the full and authentic texts of the “secret” for his study.

  4. June 24, 1981 Our Lady begins to appear in Medjugorje to six children.

  5. October 31, 1981 Vatican Rene Laurentine discovers tape recording of  of the visionaries being interviewed about the early days.  In the tapes a prophecy from the Virgin Mary is revealed to the Visionaries – “Russia will come to glorify God the most; the West will made modern progress but without out God.”

  6. March 25, 1984 – Holy See: The Consecration of Russia has taken place. There have been a number of consecrations of both Russia and the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, made by different popes (including several by Pope Pius XII and St. John Paul II, and one by Pope Francis on Oct. 13, 2013). But according to Sr. Lucia of Fatima, the March 24, 1984 consecration by St. John Paul II satisfied the request Heaven made in 1929 for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart.

  7. Marie Czernin: Bishop Hnilica, you spent much time with the Pope John Paul II and you had many private encounters with him – for example when you visited him at the Gemelli Hospital shortly after the attempt on his life, May 13, 1981. Did you ever speak with the Pope about the events in Medjugorje?

Bishop Pavel Hnilica – I visited the Holy Father on 1984. We had lunch at Castel Gandolfo, his summer residence, and I told him about the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which I have done in the muscovite Cathedral of the Assumption, on March 24 that same year, according to what Our Lady had asked in Fatima. The pope then showed me a book about Medjugorje written by René Laurentin. He started to read some chapters and he underlined that the messages of Medjugorje are in close relationship with those of Fatima. “Look, Medjugorje is a continuation, an extension of Fatima. Our Lady is appearing in communist countries primarily because of problems that originate in Russia”, said the Pope, who already took this as a mission of his pontificate. This is why I immediately understood the connection.

  8. Sr. Lucia, the sole surviving visionary from Fatima, in an interview with a bishop present in 1993, said that a nuclear war was scheduled between the Soviet Union and the U.S. for 1985 which is why the Pope was shot on May 13, 1981, to get his attention. The March 25, 1984 consecration of Russia averted this war.

  9. In early 1985, Soviet leader Chernenko dies. Gorbachev comes to power and the whole Soviet Union starts to unravel…
