The March 18th Threshold: A World on the Brink
As we approach March 18, 2026, the air feels heavy with a convergence of ancient prophecy and modern volatility. For decades, the village of Medjugorje has pointed toward this specific date—not as a celebration, but as a marker for a future that visionary Mirjana Soldo says will only make sense once the “secrets” begin to unfold.
Given the current state of global affairs, many are asking: Is this the year the first secret finally breaks through the noise of war?
The Significance of March 18th
To the casual observer, March 18th is simply Mirjana’s birthday. However, she has been remarkably clear: the annual apparition occurring on this day has nothing to do with her birth. Instead, it is a date chosen by the “Gospa” (Our Lady) because of its inherent significance to the ten secrets that will determine the future of the world.
Mirjana has previously stated that when the secrets begin, the world will finally understand why this date was chosen. Historically, this date has often coincided with major regional shifts, such as the 1994 Washington Agreement. But today, the stakes are global.
A World at War: The “Secret” Backdrop?
As we look at the headlines leading into this week, the geopolitical landscape looks like a tinderbox ready for the first “admonition” described in Medjugorje lore.

My response is a question rather than a statement: How is it that we (most people) have fallen into a habit of attacking the appearance, intellect, social status, voice, any quality, preference or opinion of others because their appearance, intellect, social status, voice, any quality, preference or opinion differs from and seems foreign to that of the attacker. This, with the apparent intention of diminishing the standing in society and security and self image/respect of those under attack. We have forgotten what God has taught us over the ages. We are the product of profound love and are each and every one of us charged to nurture and share with others whatever small speck of it that is within our inheritance or we are lost.
