She had taken a photograph of a crucifix on the wall, above the spot where the young visionaries appeared to be looking during the apparition. When the photograph was developed, a close-up of the face of a beautiful young woman appeared on the film. One of the visionaries later claimed that she looked very much like Our Lady: “But,” he added, “she is even more beautiful!”
