Medjugorje Today: There will be no three days of darkness | “It is not something Our Lady has said to us”

Ivan Dragicevic, one of the six Medjugorje visionaries, spoke in Seattle, Washington, on the evening of October 29, 1997. In his talk he spoke of a few heavenly revelations that were not well known.

In his talk Ivan emphasized Our Lady’s wish for humanity and spoke of the importance of Our Lady’s plan for peace. But the visionary also dispelled some rumors of certain future events that are popular among some Catholics

There are many people in the world today who speak of some fear. There are many people today who speak of three days of darkness and so many punishments, and many times I hear people say that Our Lady says so in Medjugorje.

But I must tell you that Our Lady does not say this, people say it. Our Lady does not come to us to scare us. Our Lady comes as Mother of hope, Mother of light. She wants to bring this hope to this tired and needy world.

It is very difficult to describe to you the love that Our Lady has for each of us, but I want to tell you that she carries each of us in her maternal heart. Throughout this period, the messages she has given to us, she has given to the whole world. There is no special message for a single country. There is no special message for America or Croatia or any other particular country. No.
With the Madonna, no one is excluded.

Q: What do you tell people who are worried about the three days of darkness?
A: As I said at the beginning, this is not something Our Lady said to us, so I don’t know where it comes from. But as I have already said, if we believe that Our Lady is with us, what should we be afraid of? Why should we be afraid?
