With her presence in Medjugorje, Our Lady wants to awaken our awareness of the fact that we are involved in a battle that involves nations, societies and cultures and every individual who lives in them.
In one of the first messages, the Holy Mother said: A great battle will take place. The battle between my Son and Satan. It’s about human souls.” Seer Mirjana spoke not only about spiritual warfare but also about physical conflicts on earth.
She said: Our Lady showed me, like in a movie, the knowledge of the first secret. The land was desolate. “and there was an upheaval in one part of the world”. Mirjana says that, seeing what was about to happen, that revelation made her cry. But then Our Lady told her that man brings this on himself because there are too many sins in the world.
The Catholic Church (Synod of Bishops, 1985, Final Report) says: “We cannot deny the existence in society of forces capable of great influence which act with a certain hostile spirit towards the Church. All these things manifest the work of the ‘prince of this world’ and the ‘mystery of lawlessness’ even in our time”.
Over the years, Our Lady has made it known that a spiritual war is being waged. On March 18, 2018 she said: My children, your battle is hard. It will be more difficult, but follow my example. Pray for strength of faith; trust in the love of the heavenly Father. I caress your souls with immense maternal love.
Today, as the spirit of the antichrist spreads through our culture like never before, it is worth remembering that Mirjana knows the exact date when the first secret will be published. In a passage from her book, Mirjana said: Our Lady appeared to me again and told me the date when I must give the details of the first secrets to the priest (Fr. Petar Ljubičić).
This new knowledge eased my distress and gave me strength.” Many believe that we are approaching a “decisive moment”, after a “clue” was revealed in one of the darkest days of the pandemic on March 18, 2020.
On that day, Mirjana announced that her monthly apparitions had ended, and her news shocked people who closely follow Medjugorje. After that day, people all over the world talk about the pandemic as a sign, a plague, a portent of what is to come with respect to the secrets. Our Lady asks us to recognize the seriousness of the moment.
We must respond to the time in which we live.
She says that her Immaculate Heart will triumph – She wants us to know how beautiful it is that we were her instruments, however small, of that triumph. She says “go and be apostles of my Immaculate Heart”. “When everything starts to happen, then you will be able to understand why it is March 18, why the apparition was every second of the month, why Wednesday and Friday are fasting days, everything will be clear…
“Before a visible sign is given to humanity, it will be three warnings to the world. The warnings will be in the form of events on the ground. The sign will be given as a testimony that Our Lady has truly appeared and to call people back to faith. The ninth and tenth secrets are serious.
They concern the punishment for the sins of the world. Punishment is inevitable, because we cannot expect the whole world to convert.
