Novena to the Queen of Peace of Medjugorje – fifth day – June 20, 2019
The Novena to the Queen of Peace of Medjugorje, for the next few days, will give us food for thought, on why the Marian apparitions, which began on June 24th 1981, around 6:00 pm, and still in progress, changed the fortunes of the ‘humanity.
After the first apparitions, people began to rush to that holy place. Fifteen thousand people had arrived, in a short time, from many parts of the world.
The local parish priest, meanwhile, Father Jozo Zovko, was beginning to ask the seers about what they said they saw.
At one point, the visionaries asked the Virgin if she could reveal herself to others, so that it was clear that they did not lie, but she replied: ” Blessed are those who without seeingwill believe”.
Novena to the Queen of Peace of Medjugorje – fifth day
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
Prayer to the Queen of Peace:
Mother of God and our Mother Mary, Queen of Peace! You have come among us to guide us to God. By him, impose grace on us so that, on your example, we can not only say: “Let it be of me according to your Word”, but also put it into practice. In your hands, we put our hands, so that, through our miseries and difficulties, he can accompany us to him. For Christ our Lord. Amen.
The recitation of the Veni Creator Spiritus and the Glorious Mysteries follows.
“Dear children! Today, I am happy, even if in my heart there is still a little sadness for all those who started this journey and then abandoned it. My presence here is therefore to guide you on a new path, a journey of salvation. Therefore I invite you, from day to day, to conversion; however, if you do not pray, you cannot say that you are converted. I pray for you and intercede for peace with God, first in your hearts, and then also around you: may God be your peace. Thank you for having responded to my call! “(Message of June 25, 1992).
The Litanies to the Virgin Mary follow.
Final prayer: Our lives are in your hands, Lord. You only know what we need for our salvation. Thank you, because here in Medugorje , your Mother has come precisely to lead us on a new road, the road to salvation.
Bless and strengthen all those who have undertaken this journey of conversion and prayer in this place. Strengthen their faith, hope and charity, so that they never betray their covenant with you. Amen.
