“Rain down flowers from Heaven” Couple Visiting Relics of St. Therese, The Little Flower, have experience that they will never forget.

Deacon John Kranz sent Mystic Post this beautiful testimony

I would like to share an experience my wife Teresa and I had about ten years ago. It was with much anticipation that the relics of St. Therese, The Little Flower, were to come through Salt Lake City and be put on display in the Carmelite Monastery not far from my home. It was a cold, rainy fall day. The flowers at that time of year were long dormant and the leaves on the trees had fallen. When my wife and I had arrival at the monastery we found extremely long lines of folks patiently waiting in the rain to see the reliquary of St. Therese.

Now, patience not being a virtue I’ve been able to master, we turned the car around and started back for home. But Teresa (my wife) and I thought better about the once in a life time opportunity to see these relics, and turned back around and finally found a place to park. We waited in the rain for what must have been the better part of an hour. When we finally got to the tent that was put up just outside the chapel where The Little Flower’s relics were displayed, we were finally given a reprieve from the rain.
It was right at that moment that Teresa and I both experienced a hugh whiff of roses. The fragrance was extremely strong and unmistakable. Teresa looked at me and I looked at her with eyes wide opened. We didn’t say a word but we knew that nonverbally we were asking one another, “Did you smell that?” We immediately looked around at our surroundings and quickly realized what we thought. There were no flowers In sight. None! Even when we got into the chapel there were too few flowers to have put off the powerful aroma we experienced, and there was no way it could have reached us outside even if there were.

The Little Flower said she would rain down flowers from heaven. And she did it for Teresa and I in spectacular fashion. We will never forget this blessing from one of our favorite saints.
