How can we open the doors of Paradise?
Our Lady explains to us what the key is in the last message from Medjugorje
The last message of May 2, 2019 opens the Marian month with a hymn to love and prayer
Let us re-read together the words left by the Gospa to the visionary Mirjana with some small reflections on their extraordinary content.
“Dear children, with a motherly love I am calling you to respond to the great love of my Son, with pure and open hearts, with complete trust. I know the greatness of His love. I carried Him within me, the Host in the heart, the light and the love of the world. My children, also my addressing you is a sign of the love and tenderness of the Heavenly Father-a big smile filled with the love of my Son, a call to eternal life.
Out of love, the Blood of my Son was shed for you. That Precious Blood is for your salvation, for eternal life. The Heavenly Father created man for eternal happiness. It is not possible-for you who know the love of my Son and who follow Him-to die. Life triumphed; my Son is alive. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, may prayer show you the way and the means of spreading the love of my Son-prayer in the most exalted form.
My children, also when you strive to live the words of my Son, you are praying. When you love the people whom you meet, you are spreading the love of my Son. It is love that opens the doors of Paradise. My children, from the beginning, I prayed for the Church. Therefore, I am also calling you, apostles of my love, to pray for the Church and her servants-for those whom my Son called. Thank you. ”
Message of May 2, 2019 – our reflections
Dear children, with maternal love I invite you to respond, with a pure heart, open and with total trust, to the great love of my Son. Thus Mary presents herself to Mirjana, with an exhortation, for us her children, to ward off every fear and every hesitation. A clear invitation to conversion so that our heart may be pure and ready to open up to the love of Christ.A phrase that brings us back to that October 22, 1978 when, in his first homily as Pope, John Paul II strongly affirmed Do not be afraid! Open, indeed, open the doors to Christ!
He sacrificed himself for us, for our salvation The blood of my Son was poured out for you, out of love, this precious blood for your salvation, for eternal life. This is the greatest sign of the Father’s love for each of us. A love of which Mary is a living witness and instrument I know the greatness of His love, I have carried it within me, the host in the heart, the light and the love of the world. Thus Our Lady wants each of us to become aware of this love. Of how everything is a sign of the Heavenly Father’s love and tenderness.
God created man for eternal life
We are all invited to eternal life, and the virgin explicitly tells us: the Heavenly Father created man for eternal joy. The words that follow are extremely comprehensive about our future: it is not possible for you to die that you know the love of my Son,but be careful, Mary ends by reminding you that you follow Him. This concept takes us back to the prologue of the Gospel of John: ” He came among his own, and his people did not accept him. But to those who accepted him he gave power to become children of God “(Jn 1,11-12)
A crescendo follows that starts from the triumph of life over death, of the truth about sin represented by the dead-risen Christ to return to the theme of love and prayer. “Life has triumphed, my Son is alive. Therefore my children, apostles of my love, may the prayer show you the way and the way to spread the love of my Son, the prayer in the most sublime form “ . My children, even when you try to live the words of my Son, you pray. How much time do we dedicate to prayer?
Prayer, our compass
Prayer is our moment of dialogue with God, our compass. The instrument with which we can draw, through the Holy Spirit, is the strength to proclaim the love of God for the whole world. When you love those you meet, spread the love of my Son.
Here comes the commandment that Jesus left us: ” This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you”. (Jn 15:12) A fundamental verse for our faith. Because it is by following this exhortation that we will reach the joy for which the Father has created us.
This is what the Madonna wants to witness. His closing sentence is very clear: ” love is what opens the doors of paradise, it is the key that opens the door to paradise” . This is the essence of our creed. We have all received this key, it is up to us to protect it and make sure we don’t lose it.
