Satan in the Time of Secrets

The time of the Secrets is, at the same time, the time of Satan and the time of Mary. It is the time of Mary because she is present and because she revealed the events of the Secrets to the visionaries in advance and will reveal them to the world three days before they occur. Satan does not know the Secrets of Medjugorje; he only knows what has been made known. Satan knows the most painful prophecy that concerns him directly: that only during the time of the Secrets will the world without God collapse. Our Lady foresaw this in her Messages, but Satan is so arrogant that he doesn’t believe it and will do everything to prevail.

Satan will do everything he can to prevail, but Our Lady will prevent him, and he will be defeated. In the end, the Heart of Mary will triumph. During the time of the Secrets, we will be in the midst of chapters XII and XIII of the Apocalypse: on the one hand, Our Lady, who appears in Medjugorje clothed with the sun (on feast days), crowned with twelve stars, and with her feet resting on a cloud, will clash with the infernal red dragon. Throughout these years of apparitions in Medjugorje, the devil has consistently attacked the Virgin Mary and the Catholic Church. Over the past thirty years, we have clearly witnessed the dragon’s attack on the Woman clothed with the sun; Satan has strenuously attempted to replace and erase the supernatural and faith. Christianity has been devalued, churches have been emptied. Our Lady has partially succeeded in thwarting Satan’s plan because faith is recovering somewhat.

During the Time of the Secrets, however, Satan’s attack will be total, through apostasy and war. During the Time of the Secrets, Satan will attempt in every way to oust Christ from the world, working with the two beasts: human powers and false religion. Our Lady will use what Satan attempts to do precisely to destroy him. Our Lady, in fact, by revealing events three days before they occur, will allow people to be saved and thus manifest the glory of God, the presence of God, God’s foresight, the divine knowledge that knows the future, and divine omnipotence. All this, combined with the sign on the Hill of Apparitions, will cause the scales to fall from humanity’s eyes, making them realize Satan’s deceptions. The beast has already bewitched the world with his hisses; during the Time of the Secrets, Satan’s deceptions will be so powerful that they will even draw believers into his trap.

During the Time of the Secrets, Satan will seek to destroy the world with war and the Church with seduction and persecution. Our Lady will thwart Satan’s plans by revealing them three days in advance.

Our Lady will triumph with her presence, with her prayers, with her messages, with the sign on the hill; with the manifestation of the supernatural, Our Lady will reveal the evil one’s plan and place men before the choice between God and Satan. We are faced with the mystery of human freedom. God cannot choose for us. The Queen of Peace said: “God has given everyone freedom, which I respect with all my love; and I submit, in my humility, to your freedom” (Message of November 25, 1987). Our Lady cannot impose conversion on us; she cannot convert herself in our place.

Let us entrust ourselves to Mary, let us ask her to help us open our hearts, let us ask her to help us escape from sin. In this way, we will arrive at the time of the Secrets safely, with Mary and Jesus. To become like Mary and Jesus requires humility and good will. Even great sinners have converted and become saints, like St. Paul. Judas could have converted, but he did not. Let us follow the right example.
