100,000 people trapped in Mariupol

One hundred thousand people have been trapped in the besieged city of Mariupol, facing starvation under constant Russian bombing. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who appealed for the release of a humanitarian convoy captured by Russian forces.

Zelensky renewed his call for safe humanitarian corridors, and said civilians are facing “inhuman conditions” in a “total siege without food, water, or medicine.”

The mayor of Kiev: we will die but we will never give up

Speaking to the Council of Europe, the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, reiterated the Ukrainian capital’s commitment to defend itself at all costs against aggression. “In the worst case we will die, but we will never give up,” he guaranteed.

CNN shows missiles launched from the Crimea

A video, posted on Telegram and geolocated by CNN, shows the launch of cruise missiles from a ship off the coast of Crimea, just west of the city of Sevastopol, towards Ukraine.
