A beautiful prayer from the Lebanese Church to Mary during Christmas season
These days, even though I am at my room due to bronchitis, I have been really blessed to experience a special Christmas. In fact, today I had the joy of participating in a beautiful prayer to Mary, by the Lebanese Church, during Christmas season.
We all know how our Christian brothers and sisters in Lebanon love Our Lady. Their Church presents to us this profound prayer to Mary during this festive Christmas season. The prayer starts with congratulating the Virgin Mary on the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the whole universe. In him Mary is the blessed among women because of her YES to God’s plan of salvation. That is why we are to exult Mary and thanking her for her courageous, humble, persistent and wise YES. You and I are honoured if we belong to Mary’s holy family. Mary helps and supports us to live in peace, mercy as well as forgiveness.
Mary, the Queen of Heaven, is to rejoice because God amongst us was born from her. Halleluiah! Thanks to Mary’s intercession God Our Father will make you and I worthy to obtain the joys of eternal life. Amen. Here is the prayer to Mary:
Congratulations to the Virgin Mary on the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ, the Savior of the entire universe*
*Our Mother Mary,*
*You are the blessed among women,*
*You who participated in the incarnation of the Word by saying “yes”,*
*We congratulate you on the glorious birth of your great Son…*
*And we glorify you and exult in you…*
*And we thank you for giving us your Son Jesus to save us and deliver us from our sins.*
*Give us to appreciate the honor of belonging to your holy family to be like them*
*And let us live with each other, in love, peace, mercy and forgiveness*….
*– Rejoice, O Queen of Heaven, Alleluia.*
*For he whom you deserved to bear, Alleluia.*
*– Has been born as it was said, Alleluia.*
*Pray to God for us, Alleluia.*
*– Rejoice and exult, O Mary Virgin, Alleluia.*
*For the Lord has truly been born, Alleluia.*
*O God, who was pleased to make the world rejoice with the birth of your only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,*
*Make us worthy, through the intercession of his mother, the Virgin Mary,*
*to win the joys of eternal life.*
*We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ himself, Amen.
