“DURING THE THREE DAYS OF DARKNESS, CANDLES WILL NOT BURN IN THE HOMES OF BLASPHEMERS AND THE UNGODLY”
The most spectacular aspect of God’s work will be three days of darkness over the whole earth. The three days of darkness were announced by the Catholic prophets, Saint Gaspar del Bufulo , Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, Blessed Elizabeth Canori-Mora and Blessed Mary of the Crucified Jesus, Sister Lucia of Fatima, Saint Mariam Baouardy and many others.
We are not obliged to believe, but we are to watch
The Church does not oblige us to believe in any particular prophecy as a matter of faith, but we are indeed obliged to believe that prophecies can be given even in our time, because this is in the Gospel: “The Holy Spirit will speak to many in the Last Days. Prophecy aims to change our behavior to bring it into line with God’s will. God has never punished the human race without first warning us. For this reason: “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” (Matthew 25:13)
Prophets and our time
“When all seems hopeless for the Christian forces, God will work a “wonderful miracle,” or as some prophets speak of it, a “great event” or a “terrible event,” in His favor. During this phenomenon the true sanctuary will not be harmed, and however terrible it may be, we can still take comfort in the fact that it will mark the end of a difficult time. The event vaguely mentioned by so many seers seems to have been specified by others as three days of darkness with the sun and moon turning, as it were, into blood. The air will be poisoned, killing most of the enemies of Christ’s Church. During those three days, the only light for people will be blessed candles , and one candle will burn all the time. But even blessed candles will not light in the houses of the wicked , but once a candle is lit in a state of grace, it will not burn out until the three-day darkness has passed. This “great event” will bring peace to a troubled world. It would be a kind of reconstruction of the three hours of darkness “over the whole earth” during Christ’s crucifixion and the announcement of what will mark the end of the reign of the Antichrist.” (“The Prophets and Our Time”, originally published with the “imprimatur” of the Reverend R. In Scripture we find many references to the days of darkness
“And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch out your hands towards the sky, and let darkness fall over the land of Egypt, so thick that it can be felt. And Moses stretched out his hand towards heaven, and there was a terrible darkness over the whole land of Egypt for three days. No one saw his brother or moved from the place where he was; but wherever the children of Israel dwelt, there was light.” (Exodus 10:21-23) “Behold, the day of the Lord will come, a cruel day, full of anger, wrath, to turn the earth into a wasteland and to destroy sinners from it. For the stars of heaven and their brightness will not show their light: the sun will be darkened in its rising and the moon will not shine with its light. And I will visit the evils of the world, and against the wicked because of their injustice, and I will cause the pride of the unbelievers to cease, and I will bring down the pride of the mighty.” (Isaiah 13, 9-11, Douay-Rheims Bible) “I will show miracles in heaven and on earth, blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will turn to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes (Joel 2:30-31). “Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” (Matthew, 24-29)
Three days of darkness according to Blessed Anna Maria Taiga
Blessed Anna Maria Taigi predicted a great and still coming punishment for the world because of its grave sins. “God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions and other evils; will arise on earth. The second will be sent from Heaven. A great darkness will come over the whole Earth and it will last for three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and the air will be filled with plagues that will destroy mainly, but not only, the enemies of Christ. In this darkness it will not be possible to use any artificial lighting, except for blessed wax candles. He who out of curiosity opens a window to look outside or leaves his home will fall dead on the spot. During those three days people should stay in their homes, pray the rosary and beg God for mercy. All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will disappear throughout the land during that total darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. The air will be infested with demons that will appear in all kinds of hideous forms.
In the homes of blasphemers these candles will not light
On September 20, 1882, Our Lady said: “The earth will be covered with darkness, and hell will be unleashed on Earth. Thunder and lightning will make those who have no faith or trust in my power die of fear. During these three days of terrible darkness, the windows must not be opened, because no one will be able to see the earth and the terrible color it will have in those days of punishment, without dying at once… The sky will burn, the earth will split apart… During these three days of darkness, let a blessed candle burns everywhere, no other light will shine. On December 8, 1882: “No one outside the shelter will survive. The earth will shake as in judgment and fear will be great. Yes, we will answer the prayers of our friends, not one will perish.” Only candles of blessed wax will shine in this terrible darkness. One candle alone will be enough for the duration of this night of hell… In the homes of the wicked and blasphemers, these candles will not light.”
Always keep sacramentals close
Our Lady: “In these days of mourning, there will be another earthquake as strong as many others, weaker than in many other places. Everything will shake except the piece of furniture on which the blessed candle is burning. It won’t shake. You will all gather around the crucifix and my blessed image. That is what will keep this terror at bay. During this darkness the devils and the wicked will assume the most hideous forms, red clouds like blood will move across the sky. A thunderbolt will shake the earth and ominous lightning will streak the sky out of season, the earth will shake to its foundations, the sea will rise, its roaring waves will spread over the continent. Always keep near you the objects of protection, your blessed candles, medals and other objects from which flow all the blessings of Heaven, the blessings of protection, the blessings of all the graces of heaven, the blessings that drive away (from you) the cries of Satan that pass through the air and the earth, the blessings that will calm the storm initiated by Luciferian voices.”

“Gather around, with the crucifix and my blessed image. This is what will drive away your fear, because these days will cause many deaths. Those who invoke me and who will keep my blessed image in their homes, I will certainly keep everything that belongs to them. During these three days I will protect their cattle from starvation. I will guard them because no door must be left open. I will feed the hungry animals, without any food.” The Lord says: “Soon I will rise in all the glory of my Righteousness. Violation of church laws, wrong worship, disrespect and immodesty in the church, low church attendance, closing of churches, churches for sale.
Lack of mercy towards others, heartlessness, indifference, divisions, quarrels, godlessness, rebellion against God (“They did not repent”), arrogance in human knowledge.
Disintegration of family life: immorality, adultery, depravity of young people in schools, indecent fashion, people who only engage in eating, drinking, dancing and other pleasures.
Civil unrest, disdain for authority, the fall of governments, evil in high positions, corruption, coups, civil wars, revolutions.
Floods and droughts, crop failure, unusual weather, tornadoes, earthquakes, tidal waves, famine, epidemics, unknown diseases.
How to prepare for three days of darkness?
To prepare for the Three Days of Darkness, as suggested by some mystics and seers: Repent of your sins which means forsake them and turn away from them. Confess Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Finally, put your trust in Christ to save you and believe in Him and you will have eternal life. Remain in a state of grace. Consecrate yourself to our Blessed Mother. According to the Holy Scriptures, she is the victor over the devil: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars…” Revelation 12. “I will put enmity between you and the woman, between you and her offspring: she will crush your head, and you will stalk her heel.” (Genesis 3, 15)
Our Blessed Mother is also, according to the saints, doctors and mystics of the Church, a means of protection that he gave us God, especially during the end times.
Fulfill your Mass obligation on Sundays and obligatory days. Receive frequent spiritual communion. Don’t forget to join the Blessed Mother in a special way as you do so.
Do frequent acts of repentance. Pray the Holy Rosary every day, at least one ten times. Have blessed candles at home and other sacramentals. Pray and offer your sufferings for the restoration of the Church. Say the complete prayer to St. Michael composed by His Holiness Pope Leo XIII after witnessing a terrifying vision of Satan’s power. Always wear a Crucifix, a brown scapular and/or a miracle medal. Do some acts of reparation, it can be quite small, invisible to people. Learn from the traditional Catholic faith.
Store small supplies of non-perishable food, drinking water and other necessities and perhaps most importantly: Open God’s word and abide in it. Meet Jesus! He is not terrible, he is love and mercy itself!
