TESTIMONY OF MIRJANA – AUGUST 2016 (read full testimony below)

That day, June 25, 1981, was the first day that we went close to Our Lady. She introduced herself and said: “My children, you must not be afraid of Me. I am the Queen of Peace”.

Thus began the daily apparitions.

We had a few days of apparitions on the hill, because, as I told you, there was communism in Yugoslavia. The police arrived with the dogs and surrounded the hill.

Whoever went up the hill ended up in prison.
In these first days Our Lady showed signs and almost everyone in the village saw something.

There were two impossible healings right away.

The Krizevac cross disappeared and the Madonna dressed in white could be seen.

A 24-year-old boy, when he saw that there was no longer the cross and in its place was Our Lady dressed in white, was moved and said aloud: “Look: the cross is no longer there. There is Our Lady! ” For this reason he went to prison for six months. Under communism you have to keep quiet, because for them there is no God.

The word “Peace” appeared in the sky. This too has been seen by many.

At that time Father Jozo was parish priest. When the policemen went to him to tell him to close the church he replied: “I saw with my own eyes from the Krizevac to the church in the sky the sign ‘Peace’. I can’t close the church. You can do what you want with me ”.

He too ended up in prison for two and a half years.

The people of the village, seeing what was happening and knowing us as children, believed in it and helped us. We had an apparition in a different place every night and we never knew before where we would go.

 

THE FULL TESTIMONY OF MIRJANA – AUGUST 2016

I want to greet you with all my heart: welcome.
We have gathered here to talk about everything our Heavenly Mother wants.

I don’t know if there are people among you who are in Medjugorje for the first time. To find out if I have to start from the beginning or we can immediately move on to the messages.
Is there anyone here for the first time?

Yes.

Then I go back to the beginning. You who have already heard all this have a little patience. Put yourself in my place: in these 35 years how many times have I repeated all this.
Let’s go back 35 years to that June 24, 1981. June 24 is the feast of St. John and here in Medjugorje he is remembered and there was no work at all.

Ivanka and I, like two girls aged 15 and 14, wanted to be alone for a while to tell us all the news and talk like girls of that age. We left the village and walked under the hill that today we call the “Hill of apparitions”. In the period I’m talking about there were no houses, it was all deserted. The two of us talked about human things, not about God or about faith. When we got tired we sat right under the hill.
At a certain moment Ivanka told me: “I think Our Lady is on the hill”. I didn’t look, because for me this was impossible.

We grew up in Yugoslavia under communism. It was very different than in Italy. With us there was no freedom of faith. We were able to go to Mass on Sunday, once a week for an hour and no more.
The rest of the religious life was only inside our homes. Parents taught us to pray. We all prayed the Rosary together in the evening. They didn’t talk to us so much about faith for fear that we children could talk about it at school and then they could have problems and could lose their homes or jobs. Because under communism nothing is yours.
In the situation I grew up in, I had never heard of Lourdes and Fatima. I did not know that Our Lady could come to earth. I thought that Our Lady is in heaven and we can only pray to her.

When Ivanka told me she thought Our Lady was on the hill I replied in a somewhat harsh way. I told her: “Yes, Our Lady has nothing to do and so she came to see what you and I do”.
I left Ivanka there and I wanted to go home. But when I was close to the first houses, I felt such a strong call within me to go back. When I got back I saw Ivanka in the same place.
She said to me, “Look now, please.” In the middle of an expanse of stones I saw a Lady in a long gray dress with a Child in her arms.
Everything was strange, because nobody went up the hill. There was no road that pilgrims made with their feet. Nobody would go with a long dress and a Child in their arms.
I felt together all the emotions that exist: fear and joy; I didn’t know if I was alive or dead. There was confusion inside me.
I ran away without looking if Ivanka was behind me or where she was. I just wanted to escape.
I found my grandmother at home. I immediately told her: “I think I have seen the Madonna”. She replied: “Take the Rosary, go to your room and pray. Leave Our Lady in heaven where she is ”. I didn’t have the strength to argue and explain them. I wanted to do so; I wanted to be alone in prayer.
Only in this way did I have peace.

The following day I helped my uncles like all the other days and I didn’t have the chance to see the other visionaries. At the time when I had seen Our Lady the day before, I felt that call within me again. I told my uncles that I had to go under the hill, because something was calling me and I didn’t understand. They came with me, because they had the responsibility and they wanted to know what was going on. When we came under the hill almost half of this country was there. Someone had come with each seer.
We saw Our Lady in the same place. This time she didn’t have the Baby in her arms.
