You can not live in peace if you do not know the ‘great promise’ of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Our Lady appearing at Fatima on June 13, 1917, among other things, she told Lucia: “Jesus wants to use you to make me known and to love me. He wants to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world “.
Then, in that apparition, he showed the three visionaries his Heart crowned with thorns: the Immaculate Heart of the Mother bitter for the sins of the children and for their eternal damnation!
Lucia recounts: “On December 10, 1925, the Blessed Virgin appeared to me in the room and a Child was standing beside him, as if hanging on a cloud. The Madonna held his hand on his shoulders and, at the same time, held a Heart surrounded by thorns in the other hand. At that moment the Child said: “Have compassion on the Heart of Your Most Holy Mother wrapped in thorns that ungrateful men continually confuse him, while there is no one who makes reparation to snatch them”.
And immediately the Blessed Virgin added: “Look, my daughter, my Heart surrounded with thorns that ungrateful men inflict continuously with blasphemies and ingratitude. At least console me and let me know this:
To all those who for five months, on the first Saturday, confess, receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary and keep me company for fifteen minutes meditating the Mysteries, with the intention of offering reparations, I promise to assist them at the time of death with all the graces necessary for salvation “.
This is the great Promise of the Heart of Mary that joins that of the Heart of Jesus.
To obtain the promise of the Heart of Mary the following conditions are required:
1 Confession, made within the previous eight days, with the intention of repairing the offenses made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. If one in the confession forgets to make such an intention, he can formulate it in the following confession.
2 Communion, made in the grace of God with the same intention of confession.
3 Communion must be made on the first Saturday of the month.
4 Confession and Communion must be repeated for five consecutive months, without interruption, otherwise you must start over.
5 Recite the rosary beads, at least the third part, with the same intention of confession.
6 Meditation, for a quarter of an hour, keep company with the Most Holy Virgin meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary.
A confessor of Lucia asked her why the number five. She asked Jesus, who replied: “It is a question of repairing the five offenses directed at the Immaculate Heart of Mary. 1 The blasphemies against his Immaculate Conception. 2 Against his Verginity. 3 Against his divine Motherhood and the refusal to recognize her as the Mother of men. 4 The work of those who publicly instill indifference, contempt and even hatred against this Immaculate Mother in the hearts of the little ones. 5 The work of those who offend it directly in its sacred images.
THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY FOR EVERY FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH
Immaculate Heart of Mary, here is before you children, who want with their affection to repair the many offenses given to you by many who are also your children, they dare insult and outrage you. We ask you for forgiveness for these poor sinners, our brothers blinded by guilty ignorance or passion, as we ask you forgiveness also for our lack and ingratitude, and as a tribute of reparation we firmly believe in your sublime dignity with very high privileges, in all dogmas that the Church has proclaimed, even for those who do not believe.
We thank you for your innumerable benefits, even for those who do not recognize them; we trust in you and we also pray for those who do not love you, who do not trust in your maternal goodness, that do not occur to you.
We willingly accept the sufferings that the Lord will send us, and we offer you our prayers and our sacrifices for the salvation of sinners. Convert so many of your prodigal sons and open them, as a safe haven your Heart, so that they can transform the old insults into tender blessings, indifference in fervent prayer, hatred in love.
Deh! Grant that we do not have to offend God our Lord, already so offended. Obtain for us, through your merits, the grace to always keep us faithful to this spirit of reparation, and to imitate your Heart in the purity of conscience, in humility and meekness, in love for God and neighbor.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, to you praise, love, blessing: pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen
