40 Years – Medjugorje: “The Three Warnings” Year 2021 | Could it happen?
June 25, 2021 will mark the 40 year anniversary of Our Lady appearing on earth at Medjugorje. Let us take a moment and contemplate some powerful statements the visionaries have said about the future of the world. A famous letter written to Pope John Paul II on 12/16/1983 outlines many of the central points of the Medjugorje secrets which will have consequences for mankind. The letter was written by Mirjana’s ” Spiritual Director based on interviews with her. He writes, “During the apparition of December 25, 1982, according to Mirjana the Madonna confided to her the tenth and last secret, and revealed to her, the dates in which these events will be realized.
The Blessed Virgin revealed to her some aspects of the future, up to the point in greater detail than to the other seers. I summarized the essentials of her account, without literal quotation. Mirjana told me:
Before the visible sign is given to mankind, there will be three warnings to the world.
The warnings will be in the form of events on earth. Mirjana will be a witness to them. Ten days before one of the admonitions, Miryana will notify a priest of her choice. The witness of Mirjana will be confirmation of the apparitions and a stimulus for the conversion of the world.
Visionary Ivan has spoken about the future of the world as well. He says: “These apparitions of Our Lady are a great crossroads for humanity, a new call, a new way, a new future for mankind. But how aware are we of the messages? Do they go to our heart? Do we live them? For many years we have had a message, you could say, each day from Our Lady. Can we have these messages in our heart in one life time? Many pilgrims, even priests, don’t understand why Our Lady has been coming every day, what she could be saying to me every day and what I have to say to her every day. I have to tell you we talk a lot!
One day when things are revealed, you will understand, your eyes will be opened. When we see the physical changes that will happen in the world, we will understand why she came every day. The time before us is one of great responsibility. Each one is responsible. Each family is responsible. We must lead our families spiritually and base our life on holy things of the Gospel. We must practice what the Gospel teaches. This is the message all these 40 years. It is nothing new; we know it from the Church. But we are not living it. Our Lady invites us to be responsible.
Visionary Mirjana emphasizes Ivan’s strong words and she asks us to be ready for what is coming. She says: “After the admonitions, the visible sign will appear on the site of apparitions in Medjugorje for all the people to see. The sign will be given as a testimony to the apparitions and in order to call people back to faith. It will be beautiful and indestructible.
The ninth and tenth secrets are serious. They concern chastisements for the sins of the world. Punishment is inevitable for we cannot expect the whole world to be converted. The punishment can be diminished by prayer and penance, but it cannot be eliminated. Mirjana says that one of the evils that threatened the world, the one contained in the seventh secret, has been averted thanks to prayer and fasting. That is why the Blessed Virgin continues to encourage prayer and fasting:
“You have forgotten that through prayer and fasting you can avert wars and suspend the laws of nature.”
After the first admonition the others will follow in a rather short time. Thus people will have some time for conversion.
The interval will be a period of grace and conversion. After the visible sign appears, those who still do not believe will have little time for conversion. For that reason, the Blessed Virgin invites us to urgent conversion and reconciliation. The invitation to prayer and penance is meant to avert evil and war, but most of all to save souls.
