You have gotten to know the six visionaries personally. What can you tell us about them?

In all her apparitions, reported in every part of the world, Our Lady from time to time has turned to people like others, commonly called seers who, like the apostles in the Gospel, have testified because having seen the Truth they believed.

This was the case in Medjugorje too. Before I met them, I was very impressed by the story of Jakov, the seer child who was either orphaned early by both parents … As if to say that seeing Our Lady does not involve any discounts “in this life”, perhaps because, as was said to Bernadette of Lourdes from the Lady on the Gave … our joy will be “on the other” ...

Well, Jakov, in the first days of apparition, forcibly brought to the morgue of a psychiatric hospital and left for some hours in the company of the dead, to declare that the apparitions were false, without any disturbance he said: “You can kill me too, not so much I am not afraid because I am going to stay with Our Lady and with Jesus! »

This is what struck me, because when you meet someone who says “I was there” and you see that he is moved, you see that he is taken and then maybe even see that he is ready to die (as it was for the apostles) for what he saw … how can you not get involved?

Why – I asked myself – one like this, at the age of just 10, from one day to the next stops playing football with his companions and prefers to spend hours and hours in prayer?

Then I saw the seers. And having known them I can say that I have been won over not so much by the extraordinary nature of their lives, their experiences, but by their normalcy. Of how, living the extraordinary of God every day, they calmly face the ordinary of daily life.
