 On Sunday, August 13, 2023, a miracle allegedly occurred in a Coptic church in Cairo. A man who had been immobile for seven years, to the amazement of those present, got up from his wheelchair and started running around the church. 

It happened during the spiritual renewal for the Lent of the Mother of God in the Church of Saint Mary and the Coptic Pope Cyril VI, in Ezbet Al Nakhl, in Cairo. 

One parishioner, reports Kyrios, said: “There is a parishioner in the church, Mr. Adel Fayez, who was seriously injured seven years ago and became a quadriplegic. 

Before the accident, he was an active minister in the church. A parishioner who attended said: “I attended the spiritual renewal for the Virgin’s fast in the church of Saint Mary and (Coptic) Pope Cyril VI. in Ezbet Al Nakhl. 

I was listening to the church choir singing their songs, and immediately the next miracle happened. 

Before the accident, he was an active minister in the church. While the choir was singing, he saw the Holy Virgin Mary appear before him in full form, and he began to scream continuously: “I see the Virgin Mary! ” 

He suddenly rose from his wheelchair to cling to her, finding himself completely healed. He started running all over the church out of joy and to the amazement of the whole community.”
