Did you see that Our Lady, in the Medjugorje message of October 25, used an expression of Jesus? It is “the Way of Peace”.
I only noticed it these days.
Our Lady says “the Most High has sent me to you to guide you towards the path of peace and communion with God and with men”.
Jesus uses it in the Gospel shortly before the Passion, the destruction of Jerusalem and the eschatological discourse.
Luke 19, 42-44 «If you too had understood, on this day, the way of peace. But now it has been hidden from your eyes. Days will come for you when your enemies will surround you with trenches, surround you and press you in on all sides; they will overthrow you and your children within you and will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not recognize the time in which you were visited.”
It is an expression that arouses concern and security at the same time: it disturbs us because that phrase preceded war, destruction, persecution; and because we have a clash ahead of us, the one between Jews and Muslims, which if it spreads, the whole world could be involved.
It gives us security because Our Lady said that she wants to guide us towards the Way of Peace, which is Jesus, because He is the Way and He is Peace. And we know that the Virgin Daughter of Zion will do it because if she says that she is sent by the Most High for this, then she obtains, she wins, she realizes.
The other beautiful thing about this phrase is that Our Lady wants to bring us to communion with men, after communion with God. Because in this time there is so much disunity, quarrel, hatred among men. But communion with men will only be possible in Mary’s definitive Victory, that is, in her Triumph: here she warns us that the time is not far away…
