Rachael Maddow – Is the woman dressed in black ushering in the Apocalypse?

By Stephen Ryan Publisher of Mystic Post

Nobody in the United States has done more to demonize the nuclear powered nation of Russia in the eyes of millions of Americans than Rachel Maddow. Her obsession with tiny details, like the misdeeds of obscure “oligarchs”, comes across like a compulsive disorder. But be certain of one thing – the woman dressed in black is not reporting news, she is fanning the flames of hate like no other.

Maddow’s relentless propaganda is not harmless. A few days ago the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, beating war drums, told a room full of reporters that “All roads lead to Russia”. It was not clear exactly what she meant by that but, everybody in the room nodded their heads in agreement like brainwashed zombies.

Progressive democrats view Russia as the “enemy” of our times. Nevermind that Saudi Arabia assassinated a journalist who wrote for the Washington Post and has one of the worst track records on human rights on earth, it’s Russia who is our “enemy”. To what end is all the relentless “hot” rhetoric moving towards? Is there a foreign policy goal in mine?

Geoffery Roberts writes in the Irish Times: There is an urgency and anxiety running through Stephen Cohen’s (author of “War with Russia”) commentaries because he sees the new cold war as much more dangerous than its predecessor. Russiagate has been accompanied by a pernicious Russophobia that demonises not just Putin but the Russian people. The resultant hysteria has been ramped up by US media, by grandstanding politicians, and by blatantly self-serving military and industrial interests. American elites seem to have lost their fear of atomic warfare.

Western journalists are blind to the impending dangers. Putin, a couple of years ago in a speech to news reporters, warned:  “You people, in turn, do not feel a sense of the impending danger – this is what worries me. How do you not understand that the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction? While they pretend that nothing is going on. I don’t know how to get through to you anymore.”

Maddow makes the case that Russia is our enemy because they “stole the election” from the American people, that Americans were manipulated by Russia to get Trump elected. But some observers of Russian society in the 21st century see that there are deeper reasons for the liberal media’s demonization of Russia that go beyond simply getting Trump elected.

What really makes heads spin is the re-emergence of Christianity in Russia and that Putin has enabled the Russian Orthodox Church to reshape Russia’s culture as it moves away from its atheist, communist past. At the root of MainStream media’s obsession is that Russia is the only major country in the world that is experiencing a Christian revival. Journalists, intellectuals, and writers in the West were openly celebrating, a new “Post- Christian” world. In their minds Christianity, as a cultural force,  was doomed. But then Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church showed up to the party and have ruined all the fun.

Vladimir Putin and Patriarch Kirill are frequently seen together at major political events. Putin often lectures the United States about the consequences of Western societies abandoning their Christian roots.

The people in the West are actually ashamed of their religious affiliation and are indeed frightened  to speak about them. Christian holidays and celebrations are abolished or neutrally renamed as if they were ashamed of those Christian holidays.  With this method one hides away the deeper moral value of these celebrations. And those countries try to force this model onto other countries, globally.  I am deeply convinced that this is a direct way to the degradation and primitivization of culture. This leads to a deeper demographic and moral crisis in the West.

Today we see two nuclear powers with very different world views  – one spiritual, the other secular. Ominously, it seems that Russia and the United States are on some inevitable path toward conflict guided by an invisible, sinister force determined to usher in the apocalypse.
