Illumination of consciences in the time of secrets?

Dearest Father.

According to some charismatics, the secrets will debut with a warning or enlightenment of consciences, which would be the last anchor of salvation for non-believers. Each person will see his past as in a film with the mistakes and sins committed and then repent and choose whether to be with Jesus or with the evil one.

I quote here some charismatics who announced this event: Marie Julie Jahenny (France 1850-1941)» The warning will be like an interior revelation of our sins. Our Lady will come to awaken everyone’s consciences.

Anna Maria Taigi (1769-1837)” The warning will be an illumination of consciences in which everyone will see themselves as GOD sees them.

Faustina Kowalska: “Before I come as a just judge, I come as a king of mercy. This sign will be given to men in heaven: every light will be extinguished and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will appear and great lights will come out of the holes which will illuminate the earth for a time.

Garabandal (Concita) “The warning will be visible throughout the world. For everyone it will be like a revelation of our sins, it will be seen and experienced by people of every religion. It will be like a purification before the miracle.

Don Stefano Gobbi: “The Holy Spirit will come to establish the glorious kingdom of Christ and it will be a kingdom of grace, holiness, love, justice and peace. With his divine love he will open the doors of hearts and illuminate all consciences. Every man will see himself in the burning fire of divine truth. It will be like a small judgment!

Father Livio, I would like to know what you think of all this and whether it is connected to the Medjugorje messages.

I greet you with affection, your devoted Lucrezia

Dear Lucrezia,

What you wrote is very interesting, but there is nothing similar in the messages of Medjugorje and Fatima. In fact, I’d say it’s the opposite.

In fact, Our Lady urges us to convert now, which is a time of grace, while later it will be too late. Even in the presence of the sign on the hill of apparitions there will be those who kneel, but will not believe.

Sister Lucia of Fatima, in describing the catastrophe that strikes the world, overwhelming men and things, speaks of “souls that sleep the sleep of death”.

The same Sacred Scripture in the description of the end times speaks of those who, upon seeing divine wonders, will blaspheme instead of converting.

This does not mean that particular graces of conversion are not given in those moments of “Satan freed from chains”, but they will hardly be effective in hearts hardened by evil and chained by the devil.

Divine Mercy is infinite, but it can do nothing in the face of the rejection of an arrogant and unrepentant heart.

Let us be careful so that the darkness does not grasp us too, Our Lady warned in a message to Mirjana.

Ave Maria
