TyRCeltoWhere did Protestants get the ridiculous idea that Catholics ‘worship’ the Saints and the Virgin Mary? We dont, OK? Theres a difference between veneration and worship. Catholics give thanks, revere and venerate the Saints and the Virgin Mary in the same we venerate and show reverence to the Blessed Sacraments and Holy relics, we dont stand, kneel or prostrate ourselves in worship to anything or anyone other than to the Trinity of God represented by the Father, his son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You haters are forever nit picking while you should instead be trying to attain the Grace of God.
Catholics venerate the saints because we love what Jesus loves and scripture tells us to love what He loves. We venerate Our Most Holy Mother I need a special way since she uniquely participated in the work of our redemption. However since the Blessed Eucharist IS Jesus we worship the consecrated Host. This is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and the only appropriate response, therefore is worship since He alone is worthy to receive glory, honor, wisdom, power and strength. The saints and Our Blessed Mother share in all that He is as scripture tells us that He has made us partakers of the divine nature. How good is He to share with us His own nature. What mercy and grace. Amen.
